My Thai wife and I are planning to purchase land in Trat province and wondered the best way to locate suitable land? There appear to be no real estate agents in Trat town, which does make it more difficult.

We are not necessarily after beachfron land, just something with electricity and accessible by road.

Would banks in Trat be a good place to check as well?

Any info you can provide would be gladly accepted.

Cheers

Hi guys, yes the banks are the way to go. But check them out via the net. some propertys for sale/lease are not allways offered by your local branch. Kasikorn Bank will turn up a few properties to choose from. BTW if you do end up purchasing can you send me a pm just tell me a little about the transaction and how the bank handled it.

Cheers, Damo...

Ask the local shop/roadside restaurant in the area you're interested in.Thais mostly sell by word of mouth and small commissions are often paid so these sorts of people often can tell you of several properties for sale.
