CHONBURI:-The Fisheries department, based in our own province of Chonburi, was actively involved in the raid on Tuesday of a Vietnamese fishing boat, trawling illegally in Thai waters

At 13:00 hrs, a Navy Commander Rear Admiral and crew intercepted the ship and arrested all on board. The 46 year old fishing boat captain and his crew of 9 were taken back to shore under armed guard, to be processed under Thai Law.

The military team were heavily armed and ready for all eventualites, more so after recent attacks by illegal fishermen on the Authorities here, in attempts to evade capture

The boat had been monitored by authorities for quite a while as the Navy became involved and the operation began.

Wow they like a real THAI SWAT team.

Hopefully the fish didn't spoil and were either taken home by the authorities or given to Thai vendors.

Sounds like a fish fry somewhere this weekend.

Wow, a Rear Admiral to stop illegal fish n' chips. They mean business.
