Where Can I Buy A Fire Extinguisher /blanket

Featured Replies

tilac was cooking on the balcony of our condo and left the wok with a little oil on the gas cooker...needless to say it caught alight and I had to extinguish the fire with a wrung out wet towel..as there is no water on the balcony to wet the towel I feel we need a close at hand way of putting out a fire should it happen again so am looking to buy a fire retardent blanket to smother any future pan fire

as an aside tilac was amazed that i knew how to deal with this so i showed her the videos below where the fire fighter pours water on the burning cooking pot.....maybe worth showing yout tilac/wife how to cope with just such an incident in case it ever happens and she doesnt know what to do

Fire extinguishers ar everywhere. Blankets I found online. There is a Thai company that makes them

Global House, Homepro for both. Thanks for the useful links!

Makro superhighway intersection. Heading east from town, cross the intersection and take a right (as if you were joining highway to go to Lampang) , its in that block of shophouses on your left hand side, right near the intersection.

P.D.K. On Chang Puek Road. They sell a whole range of fire and safety equipment. Heading out of town on LH side about 200M before Khwangsing Intersection.

none of the above sell fire blankets which i find puzzling since the only source of fire in most thai homes would be a gas stove with a hot wok and oil on it

i bought a small 180 baht car type foam fire extinguisher at Big C today.....anyone know if that would be suitable to put out a burning wok?

will also try to chase up a fire blanket online

Are these 'fire blankets' re-usable ?
