Pattaya To Angkor Wat

Featured Replies

What is the best way to get from Pattaya to Angkor Wat in Cambodia?

Does not have to be the cheapest way just looking for balance of fastest vs affordable....

rent a car?

rent a motorbike?

tour bus?

Thai bush pilot? (actually, is there anyway to fly from a small airport near Pattaya to nearby Angkor Wat?)

I think a rental car/bike is out of the question. There is an airline that flies from Utapao:

Air Hanuman is ready to launch in two weeks time flights from Siem Reap to Pattaya-U Tapao Airport in a Boeing 737-400 with 144 seats. Fares will be sold as low as US$ 99…

The other option is a bus to the border with Poipet and get transport from there. Best to arrange your visa beforehand if doing that route. You can get an evisa from the Cambodian embassy's website.

If you can afford it fly, its an all day affair with plenty hustling by bus/taxi/tuk tuk/bus/train/baht bus

If i was to do it again i would take government bus to border (or train if i was in BKK) and arrange a taxi to pick me up at the Cambo side of the border, avoid at all costs mini vans and the Poipet transportation centre.

Thanks for the info!

A taxi from Poipet at the the square, not what they call the new official bus terminal, but the area just after Cambodian immigration will cost US$ 25.

I get my visa online, print 2 copies. Drive to Aranyaprathet, leave the cat in the parking area Bht 100 a day & walk across.
