ponder
My friend wants to become a masseur and wants to do a course somewhere reputable. Can anyone recommend a place that runs good courses? Cheers.
chaiyapoon
If you speak thai there are suitable trainers in all the major towns and cities. If you don't you will have to stick to the more touristy areas.Chiang Mai has several though most are just short courses. katana
I think Wat Pho in Bangkok offers courses.
whooliggen
High. Not sure if your friend is Thai or not, but a thai friend of mine has just completed a massage course at the Chiva-Som Accademy on Ekkamai Rd in Bangers (02-711-6900/14). Kind of pricey, but comes with the added bonus of being accredited by what is an internationally reknown spa/health/massage centre..Takes at least 2 weeks whereas you can probably get a certificate from Wat Pho after 2 days (Actually know plenty of people who have been very well trained at Wat Pho, so I'm not dissing them..). Happy prodding, W.
