Ubon Hash House Harriers Run No 51 - Saturday 3Rd November - Northwestern Meuang Ubon

Ubon Hash Run 51 will be on this coming Saturday 3^rd November. Meet for a pick-up at Wrong Way café (Phadaeng Road in central Ubon) at 4.15pm prompt or go direct to the start point just off the ring road in north western Meuang Ubon for a 4.30 pm prompt start. Now that the rains are over (hopefully) we can feel safe in having a country walk/run again.

Directions for driving:

Going north from the SiSaket junction on the ring road (Highway 231) you cross the Mun river, go past the University and then cross the meander of the Mun river, just after the new HomePro (on the opposite side). Turn first left into Thanon Tha Bo (I don't think there is a street sign - it's about 200 metres after the Mun River meander bridge and next to a construction equipment hire shop). Go straight ahead down this soi for 800 metres, ignoring the apparent sharp right turn for main traffic after 400 metres, until you hit a crossroads by the side of a low temple wall. Turn left and after 300 metres park on the left at the concrete bridge.

We are a small friendly group who do not take this running thing too seriously. Most walk the 3 or 4 click trail that is typically marked out by a 'hare' in advance (but you are equally welcome to run it and get back to the beer soonest). The trail will take in a few sights and possibly the odd improptu beer stop. At the end of the trail we have a few more drinks, sing a couple of silly songs and generally commence the socialising. As usual, many of us will return to Wrong Way after the run to make a night of it!
