Featured Replies

i am searching for people around my age to visit the city or do other things.

Go over to Zoe in Yellow on Rathwithi Road at night, and you should find some people your age there.

Message me a link to your facebook and I will invite you to a few Halloween events going on this week.... generally attended by the young freelancer/teacher/no one knows what they actually do crowd.

Unless you want to make friends with someone leaving tomorrow, in which case Zoe is fine.

Not very accurate. There is a fair amount of us longer term "young freelancer/teacher/no one knows what they actually do crowd" that hang around Zoe Corner, Zoe Garden, Babylon, and Roots Rock Reggae.

Also, please note that Zoe Club, Hollywood Bar, and Roots Rock Reggae are all having Halloween parties TONIGHT! (Tues, Oct 30), so it won't interfere with whatever Halloween party plans you have for tomorrow night.

Great for two nights of Halloween celebrations... Or 3 nights, if you made it to the Halloween party at Cafe Del Sol this past Saturday!

Agreed, but percentage wise...I'm guessing very small. I've met very, very few people (at least in those "clubs") that actually live here

Or did you experience different? :)

Sure I go there, usually when my judgement is significantly impaired, but I dont 'hang out there'.

Going to Zoe/reggae is like sitting in your underwear eating crisps and playing video games- it can be fun but you dont want to be seen doing it, and definitely dont brag about it the next day :)

My bad, but that made me laugh out loud.

She asked for people to visit the city or do other things. Seems like all the people here only go to bars to meet other people that is the young ones.

I have no idea where to tell you to go to meet people who are not into the bar scene. My suggestion is do a little sight seeing and perhaps you will meet others interested in seeing various different things the city has to offer.

I am not trying to put down the bar scene at all. I was young once and enjoyed it but there is more to offer than that and in my old age I can appreciate smaller quieter things. Hang around a coffee shop that looks like it has a lot of people. don't be afraid to strike up a conversation with them.

I guess I did have a idea after all.

So lucky to be spending so long in CM. enjoy!

Dude sit loud and proud in your underwear, crunch those crisps and crank the volume on the video games. No longer will we sit in shame!

Not much into Zoe in Yellow though. Second floor diagonally across the road sometimes has some okay nights.
