Hi,

Just wondering what kind of water people are using to make formula for a new born?

My wife is currently breast feeding but is not producing enough so we are supplementing with formula. I've read that you shouldn't use mineral or softened water for new borns. The nurse at the hospital told us to use bottled water so I started using the sprinkle bottles you can buy from 7/11. Then I looked on there website and found that there water is softened.

We live in Pattaya and our tap water is connected to the village water which has it's own water tower, does anyone know if this would be safe to use?

We always boil the water and sterilise the bottles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

John

Hi Op,

My son is now 17 months old, and we have been using store bought from day one.

If you don't want to purchase from the store, you could always add a filtration system to you home. And then boil the water as well (probably overkill but what the heck.)

Do you use any brand in particular?
