SAMUT PRAKAN: -- Two people were killed and two others injured in a shooting on Theparak Road in Samut Prakan's Bang Phli district at 12.30am yesterday.

Police suspected that drugs were the cause of the shooting because the four had prior criminal records involving drugs in Phra Khanong and Samrong Neu police jurisdictions.

Police found the victims in a Honda City sedan riddled with 33 bullet holes. They collected 41 bullets casings from the scene. Five people were in the car, and had left a friend's house on Soi Likhit 7 to get a snack, the friend told police. Weerawat Kwanphetch, 24, and Abhisit Inthachai, 23, were fatally shot while Sayan Kaewnut, 27, and Wannisa Premsri, 27, were injured. An 18-year-old female passenger was not hurt.

A female eyewitness at a nearby bar told police that a black car overtook the Honda and stopped in front of it before its occupants opened fire. Another vehicle, a pick-up truck, came from behind and its occupants also shot at the Honda. She and others at the bar fled inside until it was silent before coming to rescue the victims and alert police. However, police later determined that the attackers had used only one pick-up truck.

Chicago gangster style. I expect this will be on the increase.

Sounds plausible. What is also plausible is that one of the guys in the group that was shot called one of the rival gang a bad word. Maybe he or she called one of them a twit or a buffalo. We know people have been shot for less.

Eye witnesses said a second vehicle pulled up behind the Honda Civic & the occupants also opened fire, but the police seem to know more ??

Everybody has a crystal ball and know much more. Especially the members here.

Why?

Why?

There was a drug related execution in Chiangmai a week ago also but didn't even make the news. A guy just released after 12 yrs (early parole) from prison for drug offences.

Just thinning the herd!

Another normal day in the land of smiles ..... sad.png

That's a $hitload of rounds for a drive by. Must have been using an Uzi?

Why not?

Gang business is profitable. If not, they wouldn't do it.

Gangs have their own ways of enforcing discipline and punishment.

In general, eye-witness evidence can be notoriously unreliable. Ask any Policeman or Lawyer ? In this case, who knows?

.........or maybe the police knew who owned the black car??

Upward mobility in action.
