bangkokburning
At least intake into Thailand (not depature note) was quick, but that is scandal price for such an airport. Just sayin...
chiang mai
Departure tax is usually included in the cost of the ticket, anyway, I thought it was only 700 baht, when did it change?
saengsureeya
From the AirAsia website: 12. Will there be changes in Airport Tax? As much as we would like to set and determine airport taxes and how airports are run to service you better, this is all determined by Airports of Thailand. We merely are responsible for collecting it from our passengers and passing it along in full back to the airport authorities. For more information on Airports of Thailand and to contact them regarding airport taxes and services please submit feedback to them here: http://www.airportthai.co.th/ewtadmin85_AOT/ewt/donmueang/main.php?filename=feedback___EN Unfortunately, I can't open the link. Maybe someone else can!

lomatopo
AoT announced an increase in both domestic and international PSCs, but I thought not effective until next year? And only to 800 baht? http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/587769-airports-of-thailand-to-hike-suvarnabhumi-airport-passenger-service-charges/ I guess if you purchasing a ticket today for travel on/after 1/1/13 you might have to pay 800 baht? theoldgit
I don't like any increases in the prices of anything, but I wonder how the new price compares with other airports in the region, and don't get me on the UK's passenger taxes.

lomatopo
Current Passenger Service fee is 700 baht for int'l and 100 baht for domestic (200 baht for a R/T or 2 segments).. I think it is going up to 800 baht and 150 baht, respectively, as of 1/1/13, but it is still pricing at 700 baht so maybe AoT's implementation has been delayed? Code = DMK I think you are getting your panties all bunched up. You are confusing the Passenger Service Charges for the DEPARTING airport - DMK, with the DESTINATION airport - HKG. The PSC for DMK is 700 THB. Carry on Sir.

lomatopo
just brought two tickets Phuket-KL on air asia departing Nov 20th fare fees and taxes ( for 2 tickets) HKT-KL 1,840 Baht KL-HKT 1,100 Baht That represents a combination of the AoT PSC (700 THB) + fuel surcharge (220 THB) and the KLIA PSC (330 THB) + fuel surcharge (220 THB). The HKT international PSC is still 700 baht.
