Used Hi-Fx in the past, long time ago, quite good but shave the rate, depending where you are sending from and how much.

Bangkok Bank is better from the UK. Fixed fee and good rate on the day. (in my experience). next day in your account.

Yes over two years ago for a large sum. Set up the account from Asia (not Thailand) and they were good about phoning me to understand why I could not comply with all their proff of identity rerquirements. If you want to secure a specific rate you can request it and they may or may not accept it.

I had no complaints but with hindsight now for a similar sum would just go direct my bank to Thai bank but negotiate a rate with the Thai bank in advance.
