Rimmer
8 Month Old Baby injured & Middle-Eastern man arrested in East Pattaya incident PATTAYA: -- A Foreign Man, thought to be of middle-eastern origin, was arrested on Monday Night accused of damaging a car and injuring two passengers in the front seat, one of them being a child aged only 8 months old. Police Colonel Somnook, the Banglamung Police Chief was called-in to oversee the initial investigation into the road incident which occurred in Soi Nern Plub Wan in East Pattaya just before 7pm. Police had arrested the foreign man who refused to give his name or nationality at the scene. He had attempted to escape the scene of the incident but was caught nearby. Khun Nopawan aged 25 was driving her White Honda City and offered her version of events to Police which contradicted the version from the middle-eastern man, who is thought to be aged between 25 and 30. Khun Nopawan, the daughter of the Imam, or Prayer Leader, at a Mosque located inside Soi Nern Plub Wan, claimed she was driving in a normal manner when she spotted the man in the road and slowed down and attempted to drive past him when he inexplicably threw a vinegar bottle through the front passenger window. Sitting in the passenger seat was the drivers Sister, Khun Golamat aged 22 who was holding Khun Noppawan’s baby. They were both injured by the shards of glass and taken to Hospital. Rimmer
Road rage in East Pattaya results in Police arrest Pattaya: A man has been arrested after a street altercation resulted in a bottle being flung at a car window, smashing it before fleeing the scene. Police attended the scene on Soi Nerm Plab Wan in Eastern Pattaya where the 25 year old daughter of a local Muslim cleric showed them her Honda car with its passenger window smashed. Her passengers, including a young baby, were lucky that the vehicle was fitted with safety glass which prevented a bottle, thrown in anger, from entering the vehicle. The man, who refused to give his name, was arrested as he fled the scene and told officers that he had been riding his motorbike to purchase Vinegar from a local store and that the female had driven her car carelessly nearly causing an accident. Out of anger he had flung his purchase at the car. The woman, meanwhile, asserted that that was not the case but that he had been in the middle of the road and she had taken steps to avoid him when, for no reason, he had flung the bottle at the car in which she , her sister and a young baby were travelling Read more: http://www.pattaya103.com/road-rage-in-east-pattaya-results-in-police-arrest/#ixzz2BPJUXwNW --Pattaya 103 FM 2012-11-06 [newsfooter][/newsfooter]
singhapour
"claimed she was driving in a normal manner" YIKES. That's scary... as is the fact that this guy, unless he has lived in the country for a while and paid attention to just what "normal driving" is - wouldn't have the slightest idea he was in the wrong - if he indeed was. Popular Post Kananga
Who on earth in their right mind carries an 8 month old baby in the front of a car? If it had been in a baby seat in the back it would have remained unharmed, and also kept from any other possible danger such as being crushed into an omelette should the driver hit another vehicle at speed. Morons all round.
Colabamumbai
He probably does not like Muslims. If he is from an Arab country "Middle-Eastern" he is either an Arab or a Muslim. My first thought is he is not a Muslim, Or maybe he was just drunk and the driver was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Being of arab origin has nothing to do with being a muslim, they are two different labels. Although most arabs are muslims but that does not mean that most muslims are arabs. Halion
Lucky that car was fitted with safety glass ? Are not all modern car vindows made of safety glass and the current practise of adding a tint laminate further reduces the chance of flying glass chards. Bannoi
It doesn’t matter who's version of the events are correct the fact is throwing a bottle at a cars windscreen is totally unacceptable made even worse by the fact a young baby was inside the car. The consequences for all concerned could have been far worse. Personally I hope he gets more than just a fine then deported. Nationality or religion has nothing to do with it. Maybe it's just me that doesn't see anything out of the ordinary here. You really need to enlarge this image to see the girl properly. She appears to be standing on the seat. But doesn't appear to be aligned with the bike and the others seated on it. Like she's stood a little too far to the left. Weird. ALFREDO
Who on earth in their right mind carries an 8 month old baby in the front of a car? If it had been in a baby seat in the back it would have remained unharmed, and also kept from any other possible danger such as being crushed into an omelette should the driver hit another vehicle at speed. Morons all round. You joking? You are not in South east Asia, are you? At least not in rural country side! In rural Thailand, they even sitting with the Babies and young children in the back of Pick Ups at the loading area. The use of Baby seats or children seats is as far as I saw it, I live in Chayaphum and Udon Thani in the countryside, mostly unknown, maybe seen from the people their in TVs soap operas from HiSo Thai city folk. Not to mention how the people drive on their Motorbikes, who have no car-many do not have a car! With smallest Babies which is carried from Mama on the back seat. Ok, but if the "Crazy guy/" had thrown badly and the back window would have been broken, it would be good, that the child had not been there, or? You bash the "the victim as the guilty?" Sorry that! Children safety guidelines in TH, are lacking behind Western countries and could be improved, but that has nothing to do with that story. Fact is! The man behaved completely wrong, throwing a bottle with force against a car window!
