If the bars close at one, just get there that bit earlier, 4 in afternoon would be good, then you'd be well oiled by midnight!

Yeah, let's turn Pattaya into a playground, no bars, no discos, no a g-go's, just girls and pharmacys for the viagra lovers, hotels would also be a good ideea, are you guys in vacation only for sex? Not mentioning the ones are living here, aren't you tired just a little bit of JUST having sex?

Huh???

My post was meant as a bit of a joke! What you on man?

ps well 'oiled' means well drunk! No reference to sex in my post!!!

Guys, really, what's upsetting me most is that we always find a way to understand the thai sh*t, we understand we have to pay for every single thing and gesture, we understand their culture, we understand their stupidity, we understand their laws, now we have to understand that having a good time it's too much to ask??? They always come up with new stupid rules and we try to agree with them, I think this is the reason for their actions, they push it and we try to pull it, all the time...probably in the next 2 or 3 years they will tell me that I am not allowed to leave the house after 1 am...I think you all know where am I getting to

Ranting and raving, jumping up and down, kicking the cat will get you nowhere, particularly in Thailand.

Try your verbal barrage on a baht bus driver, or a kick boxer, or a mafia member and see how far it gets you.

Try your barrage on Thai officials and the result will be the same.

All other countries have liquor laws that control operating times, why shouldn't Thailand experiment with theirs? If they get it wrong, they can and will introduce new ones.

Who knows, these new proposed laws may achieve the objective.

Yes, a lot of people will be adversely affected, particularly those who rely on liquor sales for their living.

To some extend customers will also be adversely affected but there will be many other people in the community who will welcome earlier closing times.

You have chosen to live in Thailand, nobody forced you to make that decision. If the laws of the land upset you to the extent that you are stressed out, it maybe time for you to think about buying a one-way ticket out of there.

You see, it's people like you who amaze me...how many good things have you seen good done by the governement in this country, it's all corruption, selfishness, greed and etc. You're telling me about the thai mafia or the russianm mafia, you're telling me it's not wise to argue witha baht bus driver and you find this a good thing? Everything they have in this country it's coming from people like us (me, you 90% of the farangs), not mentioning big investors. Everything that it's a good commercial and industrial spot in this country is the concept of a farang, no matter where from (japanese, european, american, australian), do you really think thay have the brains to actually build a good thing on their own. They started a campaign against smoking, that's good, what about the old cars and motorbikes that will kill you more than a cheap cigarrete does, wat about all the polution, what about the corruption. Girls are allowed to <deleted> for money, but they can't get into a disco unless they aren't 20, do you find this normal? You want me go on with millions of exampes of stupid things in Thailand? My friend, if you love Thailand, don't be a coward, because that's what, sleep and let somebody else worry about makes you.

I know we can not start a riot or something, but at least tell that f*****g thai friend of yours that what is he doing is "no good". We always come thinking and swearing in our own minds, buy you never have the guts to tell the thai next to you what do you really feel, why isn't it right...

I am sorry but you left me speachless...

Luckily making laws in Thailand is far different to enforcement or you would have something to whinge about. :o

Brit, it's ok, I am used to all the sh*t happening around, I just don't understand why do we have t accept it. That's all. I know that if I would be thinking too much and complaining about all that's happening everyday I would end up in a looney hospital...but why do we have to support it and agree that it's right for a bar in one in the most animated resorts in the world to be closed at 1am???

Make sure you take your blood pressure pills tonight. :o

What attracted you to Thailand in the first place? Why do you stay there if it's so corrupt, selfish, stupid, greedy, brainless, polluted and dangerous on the road....oh....I forget....you don't like the prostitution industry either. :D

The big investors in Thailand aren't pouring millions of $$$'s into the economy because of Pattaya's bar closing times....and you might like to inform me what your individual contribution to the country is.

It's not a matter of guts in not venting your spleen to the Thai "friend" sitting next to you, it's diplomacy, politeness and good manners not to inflict your anger and lack of self control upon another person.

There are better ways of being heard and making your point.

Oh, you don't need to start a riot, you are a riot. :D

Yeah, usually everybody is happy and friendly and peacfull, the problem starts when we have topics like "Ma found dead in his apartment, "Man ended his life after a colision from the 13th floor", etc. etc...I think before deciding to end their life, they are all happy and friendly and reasonable...and then, the tsunami comes in their brains and make the decision...Don't get me wrong, I am happy with my life here, I just don't want to eat their crap and act as it's something normal...

An hey, what;s all this arguing all about...I was just making a point, I wasn't insulting anybody...maybe it's the feeling of guilt in some of you guys

Last call at 2am and clear the bars at 2.30am would be great for the tourist and owners. I usually start early and get back to the hotel around 10-11 anyways. Like mom said " if you aren't in bed by 10 , come on home." Mini bars in the hotel with room service will keep you supplied. If its entertainment get a live one ( whatever your taste) and head out for a joy ride in the hotel. :D More fun in bed than in a bar , agree? :D

How old are you, ilyushin?

Old enough. Why? :o

No I don't get tired of sex! :o I exercise my rights as much as I can. I enjoy sex more than getting drunk and listening to the broken records over and over again.

Yes , I do get wasted and have been known to bar hop in Pattaya , but it is all part of the mix. A trip to Pattaya is to relax, have fun, get wasted, get laid, visit friends, eat some great food, have more fun, do some shopping , use the the hotel facilities, drink more, etc... Really depends on your style.

Relax and enjoy yourself. Bars closing at 1am isn't the end of Pattaya. Subject to change clause is always in effect anyways. :D

Have fun this weekend Pattaya! :D
