Comparing the other poster with webfact's posts is a prime example of quantity over quality. wink.png

So are posters subject to quality grading now?coffee1.gif Edited by Jingthing

But not wqhen you posted.

He had 80 a few minutes prior to my 11:15 post. I posted, checked again and it was reduced to 79 or so. I guess he's been having a few posts deleted here and there.

I rest my case regarding my previous comment.

Quality and quantity are NOT mutually exclusive. A blanket rule to limit daily posts has nothing to do with quality; it is only about quantity.

Anyway, I think I will exit this thread now. I have shared my opinion fully already and I don't seriously believe that there will be a global posting number daily limit imposed and if there is, it's up to the "management" anyway.

One thing regarding limiting posts is that Thaivisa would need to find a Mental Health Care specialist to be a sponsor. biggrin.png

The bottom line is that limiting posts will have a very negative impact on TV's statistics and credibility and that is not going to happen.

i suspect there may be some sort of issue with the count, either that then about 10-15 percent of his authoritative musings are being deleted.

perhaps it is a rolling total over the current 24 hour period, rather than the total over a specific 24 hours.

either way, it is certainly not a list that i would want to top daily.

Limiting the number of posts per day would just slow them down a little and force them to log off one account and back on under another...

At least this way, we know who they are...

Eh? It seems we have former Stasi officers aplenty on this forum. Post as much as you like, ignore what you don't like or use the ignore function.

Plenty of options already at your disposal.

I think you misunderstood my (poorly made, perhaps) point. I don't think it's a good idea to limit posts per day. Lots of good reasons have been mentioned before my post. I added another reason to the list being discussed.

I like the transparency that comes when you see the type of posts coming out of the same people day after day. Some of them cause me to pause and think about what they're posting, and I learn something even when I disagree with them.

On others, I skim over and go onto the next post because they've been so far out in left field each time I read their posts that it's not worth the heat my brain cells would generate thinking about the drivel they leave behind.
