November 18, 201213 yr 'bpaddibut dtaam' refers (loosely) to 'practice Dhamma'...six years of being a monk here (thirty five in Thailand) and whenever asked why I ordained, it's my stock reply, and always gets a smile and a nod of the head... ps...it's actually pronounced more like 'bpattibaht'...'dtaam' referring to Dhamma...
