60 Day Tourist Visa

Been to Thailand heaps of times .. but am due to make my first visa run soon. I'm on a 60 day Tourist Visa and have just extended it for 30 days yesterday.

Ok .. I've read posts about going to Poi Peht in Cambodia or Myawaddy in Myanmar for visa runs. Are these places just for getting another 30 day Transit Visa? There are'nt any Thai Embassies there are there?

What about 60 day Tourist Visas ? I guess I have to go to Phohm Penh or Vientanne or anywhere else with a Thai Embassy to renew it? Is this correct?

If your tourist visa is a single entry type you need to go to an embassy / consulate to get a new visa.

If you have a 2 or 3 entry tourist visa you activate the next entry by simply doing a border crossing in the same way as you would to get a 30 day stamp.
