The_Eye_Of_Sauron Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 I have a Category O (marital visa) If I get a job offer with the right kind of supporting documentation, can I apply for a Work Permit directly? ...or, do I first have to go out of the country, .......get a 'B' visa......wait for three months, apply for a Work Permit (convoluted - but this is what some people are telling me!)
dr_Pat_Pong Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 If you are legally married to a Thai you can get a work permit and work on an O visa. Absolutely.
The_Eye_Of_Sauron Posted February 5, 2004 Author Posted February 5, 2004 Thanks Doc ! So I don't have to faff around changing my Category O back to Category B then. Phew !! By the way,- to all those taking photos of your residence to Soi Suanplu Immigration - they don't want photos of you lying on the Drawing Room floor playing Playstation (like I did), its photos of the outside they want.
dr_Pat_Pong Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 Home and hosed...with the employers help. Good luck.
