Red Shirts Warned Against Getting Near Pitak Siam Rally Site

Red Shirt supporters who contemplate any movement must consult three core leaders, she said. In addition to Mrs Thida, Jatuporn Prompan and Nattawut Saikua are two other top leaders.

uh oh.. the last time someone attempted to dictate which of of the many Red Shirt Leaders were the real top Red Shirt Leaders, that someone was shot in the head a week later.

Hopefully, the Red Shirts have calmed down since then.

Another harbinger back to the above situation of disagreements within the Red Shirt leadership is Red Shirt Leader and Pheu Thai Party MP Worachai has said Red Shirts will amass in three different areas surrounding Bangkok in reaction to the Pitak Siam rally and will enter the city if there are any incidents at the rally..

He also stated a fourth group of Red Shirts will rally inside Bangkok in the Wong Wian Yai district.

.

The usual suspects are in a bind here. The impending fascist rally - which they of course enthusiastically support though are "shy" about admitting it - is a public relations disaster in the making. The government and redshirts in contrast seem to be acting responsibly. The truth is the usual suspects are enraged by the international recognition andpraise the PM is receiving and desperately look to belittle the redshirts which they see as a weak link. How the usual suspects twist and turn.

" enthusiastically support though are "shy" about admitting it"

In other words, NOT enthusiastically supporting.

Red Shirts are pro democracy, and are the enforcement arm of the PT Government, and Thaksin. China had the Red Guard, Cambodia has the Kamer Rogue, Germamy had the Brown shirts, and USA has the IRS. No difference. ph34r.png

red shirts are pro red democracy which does not resemble real democracy.

One side promotes elections while the other is calling for a military coup to overthrow the elected government followed by a 5 year cessation to them.

Ummm...which one is pro-democracy??????????????????????????????

Now, now lets stay on topic. Origional post stated the red shirts are pro democracy...Nothing about another side as you state.

As I said the red shirts are pro red democracy which does not resemble real democracy. I will throw in that the red shirts are anti free speach which is also not pro democracy.

Red shirts are pro-democracy. That's why the government they support, are condemning this democratic protests, labelling them as undemocratic, because it is against their authority. There are no double-standards in this country either.

I agree, that the Red Shirts are against free speach, but democracy is all in how you define it. Hitler brought democracy to Germany, Mao brought democracy to China, Perdi brought democracy to Siam, in 1932. By definition USA is not a democracy, it is a REPUBLIC.

The usual suspect misrepresenting what others post is in a bind here. Despite the absence of any posts to validate his erroneous theory of support, he nevertheless goes ahead and makes his misrepresentation of non-existent posts.

He then goes on to gloss over the clearly divided Red Shirt position on how to deal with the current situation as supported by the above post.

He concludes with feebly attempting to connect an entirely different subject to this issue as motivation for posts that were never written.

Oh, how the usual suspect spins and confabulates.

Promotes elections? cheesy.gifAll that destruction, death, mayhem, burning, vandalisation in Bangkok, was all just a bit of election promotion.

Excuse me why do you have a question mark followed by a childish horizontal laughing man after a statement. If you really think PT & reds don't like elections you have got the wrong end of the stick. Why wouldn't they promote elections when they are up against a detestable, perennial loser?

Methinks you have the wrong end of the grenade launcher.

The red bunch want a single party state a la Cambodia

But it will be a single party state with elections, so that's all right.

i hope there's no red shirts around for this, i'd assume there'll be a small crowd who pay no heed to what they're being asked though.

hopefully not.

You continue to push the "fascist" label despite obvious contradictory evidence.

Scientific theory says that a theory is good only until evidence proves it wrong, when you then use the new evidence to fashion a better theory. This has been the basis of the huge advances in the last few centuries. OTOH you prefer to twist and distort the evidence to support your pet theory, a method which leads to ignorance and dogma of the centuries before. It also still seems to be popular in the social sciences.

The red shirts have been warned not to turn up. But they're planning to protest not too far away so they can get there quick if trouble starts. They don't trust the police to be able to handle it either.

able to handle what, a peaceful protest?

or are you expecting violence from the PS constitution breaking coup calling group?

Does it matter when you call for a coup and nobody listens? You know, like when a tree falls in a forest ..........

And I also hope the red shirts stay away, because there is quite a few of them who have accepted what they were told, that violence is an acceptable way to make your political point. Nor should it surprise you that there is an element who enjoys the violence and seek only an excuse to engage in it.

I'm not expecting violence. It seems that the government and the red shirts are.

Otherwise the government wouldn't be organising 50,000 police, and the red shirts don't trust that the 50,000 police can handle anything otherwise they wouldn't be planning protests nearby and quickly moving into Bangkok if there are problems.

uhm, the leader/spokesman calling for a coup?

or is calling for a coup not making an attempt to overthrow the democratic regime of government with the King as head of the state?

How is calling for something "an attempt"?

so as long as the red shirts stay away there won't be violence... ok.

would it make a difference to you if they did show up to it but didn't start the violence? or would you still put the blame on them?

for future reference like.

because "calling" for a coup is making "an attempt" to influence and cause a coup?

communists. Strange bedfellows what?

eh?

Do try to keep up. a group of communists attended the first PS rally, and Jayboy managed all sorts of mental contortions try to explain their presence at what he labels a fascist association. My explanation was that perhaps they don't like seeing their country being plundered by a group that resembles the worst excesses of some communist regimes.

Perhaps he should be using the fascist label on the party with its own private militia, willing to help (required or not) when "trouble" breaks out. Should there be some sort of altercation, will the addition of a few thousand red shirts help?

D'oh. Yes they hear, but they appear to not be taking notice. You can tell me all day long that red shirts are peaceful democracy lovers, but you would be wasting your time and breath.

oh i was well aware of the 10 or so guys in hats, don't worry... my 'eh?' was to say that you are hardly using them as your 'obvious contradictory evidence' as your proof that the said statement was incorrect!

all day long, when have i ever, ever said that? .... precisely.

that was rhetorical, so no need to waste your time and breath either.

and i have no idea what you think 'taking notice' means, but this rally being in the headlines and the police deploying thousands of personnel is taking notice in my eyes....

You should know the scientific definition difference between precision and accuracy. Your replies are precise because you give the same result every time.

If you are trying to convey a meaning to me "eh?" falls far short of doing so. Some of the PS leaders do have fascist leanings, others attending had far different inclinations up to and including communists. It suits some to select the least acceptable label and apply it to all in an opposition group, when the same label could much more accurately used closer to home.

Reporters and police do not carry out coups.
