arminbkk
When using a Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus, GT-S7500, Dtac internet sim, in Bangkok? And a Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9003, AIS, Bangkok? When having mobile internet turned on, all I see is an "E". Saw something about 3G on the news today but didn't really understand what it is about. Thanks. TommoPhysicist
E = edge If you had 3G the 'E' would be replaced by '3G'
lomatopo
Settings, About phone, Status You need to subscribe to a 3G data plan. Not sure but I think the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus, GT-S7500 is 900/2100 MHz 3G so a no op on DTAC/TrueMove H, would work on AIS or TOT. And I think the Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9003 is really an SGS1.5, also 900/2100 MHz 3G so AIS or TOT. Edited November 18, 2012 by lomatopo
arminbkk
Thanks for the replies. My phone shows under Network mode: GSM/WCDMA Under Mobile network type it says: EDGE It says on the box: HSDPA 7.2 Mbps/Dual Band (900/2100MHz) Quad band (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) @lomatopo Guess I need to change to AIS or TOT to be able to use 3G on my phone, not? Chicog
Take the phone to your service provider and ask them.
