Thai Baht To Kiwi Dollars, Change Here Or There?

Featured Replies

We're heading to NZ for a couple months. My US retirement is direct deposited here as bah, so I need to exchange about 150,000 of those baht to Kiwi dollars.

Should I do it in BK or NZ? Other suggestions?

Thanks, aeoliion

Go to Suprerich , always better changing Baht on Thai soil.

That'd be right, they're selling at 25.10, BNZ is 26.61.

Have a look on here for the exchange rate, gives you a good idea. You get about $1.23 NZ for the US$ now.

Did it at Super Rich -- thanks for the help. Really.

aeolion and linh

In NZ zou have to put about 27.1 THB on the table for 1 NZD.

Here at Superrich it would be 25.1.

So by the numbers: all clear as others write above.

But I must admit I have never changed this way (from THB to foreign currency).

I read that in practice there might be issues/questions asked?

Maybe someone knows more.

No issues I am aware of providing the amount is reasonable and the bank has the currency / notes you want.

Outside LOS, the baht exchange rate is poor just about everywhere.
