I was wondering if any of the better informed members would know in what type of store, what the brand names and even the Thai name would be for these chemicals.

Thanks in advance.

I am in Loie, don't really need industrial quantities, just as good a quality as I can find. What kind of retail outlet should I be looking for? What if any brand names to look out for?

I don't know about Loie but here in CM there are a couple of suppliers opposite the university on the Suthep Rd.

Extend that to the nearest possibility for you.

Or let your fingers do the walking.

You shouldn't have to worry about brand names if the purity level is labelled and it is a reputable supplier. Many reactions, in excess reactions and non-pharmaceutical, the purity is barely relevant.

Out of interest what are they to be used for?

Just occurred to me if you're stuck I could get a card from one of the suppliers here for you to order.

Let me know. Cheeryble.

FeSO4

FeCl2 is the correct composition and in Thai it is คลอไรด์เหล็ก which is iron chloride. Another term for the sulphate is Sodium Hydrogen Sulphate which is ซัลเฟตโซเดียมไฮโดรเจน in Thai. So perhaps print those out and show them.

You turn a chloride into a sulfate and then you tell him to check his tones ? clap2.gif

Ha-ha whoops yes chloride not sulphate I must have been dropping off.

In a previous incarnation I used it for precipitating the bit of gold from an acid solution of platinum metals concentrate.
