30 Day Extension After Visa Expires?

Featured Replies

Been looking around the internet but can't find an answer for this,

I have a triple entry 6 month tourist visa that expires on 3rd Jan 2013.

My last entry was used on 10th November and I'm admitted until 8th Jan 2013.

Can I extend it by 30 days still at immigration on the 8th of Jan or do I have to do it before the visa expires on the 3rd?

I would be going to the Nathon immigration in Samui

Cheers.

FYI, I'm from the UK and under 50.

Your visa expired with your last (3.) entry, already. ('Used')

And yes, you can extend the stay for another 30 days around the 8. January.

You can do it up to 8 Jan. If you go early you will not loose any days as the extension will be 30 days from 8 Jan the expiration of your current permission to stay, not the day you go.

Thanks guys, so the triple entry tourist visa can be 9 months if you do the border runs and extensions and the right times.

Yes

But the date the visa is issued is important also since that is when the 6 months validity starts. Meaning you should get your visa shortly before starting your trip.
