Are we talking the American (ice) hockey derivative, or European Field Hockey?

I think there's a clue in the title......"ball" as opposed to "puck" which is used on ice.

but somehow you both seemed to have missed it?????

No, read again. Both the ice-hockey inspired American 'ball hockey' as well as regular hockey (sometimes referred to as field hockey in the US) use a ball. I never played the former, but totally boss the latter.

The word "ice" is in parentheses for a reason. But you seem to have missed it. I'm so tired of seeing your posts that have nothing to offer other than criticism.

It is similar to ice hockey and not field hockey.

The level of the game is quite good but we welcome players from all the skill levels. If you have played ice hockey before I bet that you would fit right in.

words fail me right now for a suitable comeback line...probably because I haven't been anywhere.

but sorry you are tired, but I dont recall a post where I criticise. i suggest you look up the definition of critisism and sarcasm, there's a gulf of difference.

as i stated above, I apologised for my ignorance in US games, just hope it doesnt come up in a quiz though-

Wonder if I am the only one that thought maybe Ball Hockey was a vaiation of Pocket pool. Now I know a little more, it is derived from ice hockey but played on a hard floor? Do you play in your sox and slide?

What are you using for sticks? Any other suggested equipment, like gloves? I'm Canada until Jan. and can be prepared. Where are you playing, indoors/outdoors? In the (no) mercy of sweltering heat or a someplace with lovely climate control? I'll have to whip my legs into some kind of shape before I could consider it 'tho.

We use normal hockey sticks. I think there is only one guy who uses gloves so it is your choice. We play outdoors but start at 7.30 so it is not that hot anymore, rain naturally makes things bit harder sometimes...

Nice amount of players showed up to last nights game. I think we had 17 players and that is quite good. Still room for new guys though!

It's Canadian ice hockey if you want to get technical about it. and field hockey is for girls....why people ever put the two in the same sentence is beyond me.

Could you post a map link? Still learning my way around town. What is your schedule with the 'holidays?'

There's a link to a map on the UN Irish Pub website here as they are sponsoring the CM Highlanders team now.

Is there a game on for tonight? Anyone heading over there from the Tae Pae gate or UN Pub area, with room for one or two more? I only have a bicycle and have not been over to that part of town yet, but would love to play! Tournament sounds awesome!
