Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra raises her hand in the morning session of the debate yesterday to tell the House Speaker she wants to answer questions and allegations by the Opposition Democrats.

Yingluck: I will definitely clarify issues, but allow people involved to also reply

BANGKOK: -- Always pointing out that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra had rarely answered MPs' questions in Parliament, the opposition on the third and final day of the censure debate yesterday tried to pressure the premier to answer its questions by herself.

Yingluck, who attended all the parliamentary meetings in the past three days, and opposition and Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva took turns to speak on the issue yesterday morning.

Towards the opposition's objection for her having left it to ministers to clarify allegations, Yingluck promised she would finally clarify the issues by herself.

"About the policies, I am ready to clarify, I will definitely clarify. But may the people involved - [those ] we assigned [for policy implementation] in the process and there are sub-committees - be in charge [of replying]?

"There were issues debated yesterday and involved people who were damaged. Please let them clarify as they were accused on many issues, such as lowering agricultural production or implementing [their sales] in a way that caused corruption. MPs, please let the working people clarify [their problems] so you can consider [any] problems [arising] from my policies. Then finally I will come to clarify them," she said.

Abhisit said the chairman of the meeting could decide who was damaged in the scrutiny process and deserved a chance to speak. Meanwhile, it should be only Yingluck who should answer the questions because the Opposition were asking about policies, not the details of implementation.

"For questions on policies, I'd like to tell the prime minister that there's no need for any minister to clarify what we don't ask," he said.

"On rice-related issues, what I doubt is the design of the policy. The prime minister herself said she was in charge. Yesterday she listened to my debate and got up to answer. I wonder if she had carefully considered what I said? For instance, she said this policy gave money to farmers. She said, 'give it to them, please'.

"We said we didn't oppose this policy if it gave money to farmers. But the figures from the government showed that each year Bt240 billion [would be raised from rice exports]. [but] the government's figures showed that out of this Bt240 billion, only about Bt1 billion reached farmers. Does the premier, as head of the government, think why we should allow other people to get the Bt1 billion? The finance minister couldn't answer this, the commerce minister couldn't answer it, the agriculture minister couldn't answer this - because it's for the PM to decide why this policy should carry on," Abhisit said.

"About rubber, I asked why the Cabinet had approved Bt15 billion for the project but rubber prices had not risen and the prime minister had still approved more budget for the implementation with the same methods.

"I don't mind if it's agreed that answering is according to responsibility. If it's the PM's part, the PM answers. If it's a minister who's involved, the minister answers. But please don't waste Parliament's time by letting a minister answer what was not asked," Abhisit said.

Yingluck stood up and replied: "To clarify the policies, we emphasise that all spending of the budget must reach farmers directly. For income, we have government agencies in charge of income. The policies are clear," she said, adding that she might give some not-too-accurate information on some issues and asked for the chance to involve others to explain the facts.

Yingluck said she had also set up a committee to prevent corruption, and asked the Opposition to share information if it found any irregularities.

Yingluck took up the microphone again in the evening following Democrat female MPs' criticism about her leadership.

However, she said only briefly that achievements would be the prove of her leadership and it took time and for the people to judge.

She continued with introduction that she would let her ministers clarify the censure further.

We all know that she could have answered every question by her self if she had a phone in her ear connected to her Brother in Dubai. The answers would have been nonsense but it would not matter as no one expects any change to come about as the result of showing the phoneyness of this government in a more open light.

But it doesn't matter...they have the majority in the parliament and the money for the vote buying at the next election that is all that is needed to be a successful politician.

Still being in love with our ever sweet smiling PM Yingluck I can only conclude that theNation was out to get her (again). I mean she answered questions, she spoke, she needs a bit more than just one just year, give her a break. You must be a real moron if you still don't get the message. Democracy in Thailand - step 1. Get into power by buying votes wherever you can - only the elite or henchmen need apply because you have to be rich to start with.

Step 2 -Dream up a few really big projects - they have to be really big like a new airport, buying rice at 150% of market price, cleaning all the klongs in Thailand. Sell the schemes to the people as something great

- new airport to make Thailand the air Hub of Asia and show the world how GREAT Thailand is - build it as grossly undercapacity as the old one and use shoddy materials. Let all the buddies who helped you buy your votes buy up the land all around before we say where the thing will be build and profit from the collateral damage as well as corruption in the scheme itself.

- rice plan. Sell it as helping the poor farmers because everyone wants to help these poor people who break their backs for peanuts. Make sure the middlemen and the rice processors take nearly all the profits from the higher price - the big land owners process themselves so can have the whole profit for themselves. Make sure your friends buy up land for warehousing and then give them super rents from the budget to store all the rice no-one will buy anymore. Sell sell sell how wonderful you are and get all the people you pay for votes to shout it from the rooftops really loud to drown out the tiny voice from the little farmer you are pretending to help because his voice is so small it will never be heard and everyone else can live the dream of thinking they are helping the poor people while the corruption continues merrily soaking up all the money. If that is not enough pretend to sell the rice to China at super inflated figures so you can pretend the situation is not as bad as it really is - like you are actually selling some when really you aren't and use fictitious companies to muddy things up a bit. If someone catches you and the media actually pick it up then just deny, lie and bluster your defence for a few days and then make sure the media never mention it again.

- hold back the water in the dams up north to make sure all your buddies rice crops are fine. Then let it all go at once flooding everywhere. Screw the foreign owned factories and businesses because the farang are only cows for milking anyway. Screw the little people as well but tell them how its not your fault. Get everyone to help in donations to give to the poor people affected and sell off what you can for profit, give it to your mates but if you do have to hand some out make sure the TV is there so the world and your voters THINK you are doing something good. The sell the super budget for flood prevention and cream off 60% to your buddies again but make sure someone sees a few klongs getting dredged so you can show how brilliant you are.

-government lottery office - spent a few hundred million building a lovely new lottery office twenty stories high. Finish it all off creaming a pile off the build costs but then just let it lie empty for two years. You can budget in a bit for maintenance too while you are at it. Never needed it but never mind - mai pen rai - we got our share out of it!

Make sure you set aside 20% of your profits from your treason of stealing the countries treasury so you can pay people to put you in power again! Push scream pillage and burn if you are not in power to come off as some sort of Che Guevara figure and get your henchmen to do the dirty work. This to drum up support for the poor who you pretend to help whilst stuffing your own pockets with their taxes and the tax you can screw from foreign businesses where you direct your tax departments to spend the most time investigating.

No matter how ignorant your henchmen are give them a post in the government after you have give all the top jobs to your family and extended family, picked your mates for the military leadership, police leadership and appoint your mates into the judiciary. Give the most ignorant and crazy high profile pig an important post too just to show how profitable helping you will be for others you are grooming for the next time

Change a few laws where, even with all the power those acts give, you still have a few key people who are still exposed to the laws left. While you are at it make sure the lese majeste laws are enforced against your opposition and people who do not like you so you can pretend you support the monarchy so as to avoid being shown up for what you are really doing. Make sure to change the law to control the media, make access to justice impossible to anyone except the super rich and protect them from the corruption and stealing that they impose on the poor by a super defamation act where even if you can prove they have screwed you over you can't take it to the law because you will never be able to afford the legal costs and will be fined or imprisoned for your efforts.

Oh and don't forget your Chinese Thai money lenders / thieves / criminals so allow them to get control of peoples property assets by whatever legal or illegal means possible- especially assets of foreigners (no matter if they are held legally under the law but in any case make the law as unclear as possible as regards whether leases are legal or companies can own land if there is some foreigner involved somewhere so you can pretend whatever you like is the law) or poor people who have struggled all their lives to buy a little piece of land - and allow these criminals to keep selling the property even while the matter is in the court. Make sure it is not criminal to sell the asset before the court so your criminals can distance themselves from their criminal act and involve lots of his friends who can all pretend they are legal buyers because the rightful owner is not protected against someone who buys innocently. Oh and make even stronger laws to protect the banks who lend on property the subject of court action to give your money lender friends an alternative cheaper course of defeating the action because the rightful owner will have a very difficult and expensive task fighting a bank with its unlimited funds (not theirs but other peoples money of course don't forget). And if your money lender friends are so stupid they still lose well just allow the judge to be passed a little money and he can give you the property even if it is not on the chanote that is in your name.

The above is true and I have the details of at least 5 cases which demonstrate exactly how mass theft of assets is being done - all supported by the Thai justice system. It is relevant as it is the MP's who make the law and drive the judicial policy and it is them and their friends who are perpetrating the theft. Anyway .......

Make sure that is a legal thing to do so as to muddy the whole thing up, involve a load of other people and make succeeding in the case as hard as possible. Know that most will not have assets to fight your fraud and theft while the few who have enough assets left can take the matter to court and lose what assets they have left. Let them sell and mortgage to impunity because that makes it all the more expensive and unlikely that your target can complete the legal process - buy a few judges along the way even if the case against you is watertight to make sure it drags out as long as possible and costs the victim as much money as possible in the hope they either run out of money, no longer have money for a visa or just die by fair means or foul. Set up the legal system so only the judge records the evidence so he can refuse any he doesn't like and there is no trace of what has been done. Refuse recording of the court in any way at all because it will just allow the whole corruption to be exposed and we can't have Thailand shamed in any way. Leave the system that way so the judges can make a few bob on the side and if you come across a moral judge well just order him to a sleepy province where he will be out of the main game.

Keep up the media circus puffing up the smoke to hide your treason and accuse as many other people of the very things you are doing to create as much smoke and mirrors as possible - now I understand that saying better - smoke and mirrors to make it look like someone else is doing exactly what you are!.

Rinse and repeat making sure that you keep your population as grossly uneducated as you can in case people start asking too many questions. In fact make sure your children spend hours standing looking at the flag and brainwash them as to how wonderful their country is and severely punish or ridicule any child asking questions - must NOT allow that to become a habit after they get to voting age. And for the poor people who are the majority of the voters, don't bother educating them at all - just give them a few toys and presents every now and then .

Democracy and justice is wonderful in Thailand!

Thailands choice of PM is at best inappropriate, and after reading this article there's really no argument against that, IMO
