Tourist Visa After 14 Day Border Crossings

Featured Replies

Hello

I have a friend who has been making 14 day border crossings and I told him

that sooner or later they will start asking questions which is what they have done

To go Laos with all these stamps in his passport will almost cwetainly end up with refusal

Has anyone had any experience at Viettene with the touts outside the consulate

in being able to get it this way

I know it will cost more. The other option would be for him to get a new passport

I live in Chaingrai Province and it is a long way to travel down on a wasted journey

Getting a work permit here now he is here seems out of the question

Sorry I forgot to add about getting a Tourist visa

Thomas

Is your friend working in Thailand?

To make border runs yes he may face some questions, and some border points are easier than some others.

I have no clue for the north as I am in the south.

For tourist visa, no more than 3 can be issued from the consulates neibouring thailand.

Best is to get employment letter from Labor and proceed to non B.

He should not have a problem getting a tourist visa in Vientiane or Savannakhet. The government would prefer you get tourist visas verses border runs to get 15 days.

He can get a 2 entry visa which would give a total of almost 180 days.
