kobrien
Hi Guys, Can anyone tell me if the new rule changes for UK visas (family, which come into effect in December) make any difference to bringing a Thai wife and my son (British citizen) to the UK ? I am working for my local housing group on £18,000 so I still do not qualify under the threshold rule, but just wondered under the Zambrano rules and general changes do these help with regards to get my Thai wife being able to bring my son to the UK so we can be family ? There are a lot of groups getting excited about the changes on the Facebook groups but I can only see them helping if your partner is already in the UK or if you split from your partner... Thanks. theoracle
Not sure about the new rules but you only need to have 1500 pound savings to top up your 18k to the required 18,600 average over 2.5 yrs so your good to go right? oh and the additional money neeed for the childs support but still your not far away. kobrien
Do you mean the savings of 1500 over 2.5 years in your account,if so, no,I am guessing the £1500 would have to be in your account for at least 6 months which would rule that out.
