Rsquared
Ah.......you have one of those cameras that you talk into, I believe they are very popular. RX100 then? Rsquared.. How is that cam working out for you? Still happy with the RX 100, so many features it is taking a mug like me ages to learn all the new stuff. Have you decided wich camera you are going to get, or have you already purchased?

Still 2 months before my return so i have some time to contemplate. You helped a lot with directing what cam is good for me. Thanks! When i was younger i did a lot of impulse buys. I learned from that 'the hard way'. I am more tranquil now. Edited January 5, 2013 by Dancealot

jonnyscot
Great post Dance, I remember checking it out before and got dragged away by the daughter to go somewhere or do something, just been catching up reading most of it now,, excellent contribution of pics too,, I'm a bit like Rsquared in that I've come from a seafaring community and moved into the countryside away from the sea, although I'm still partial of the odd trip to the beach,, probably my first "dive" so to speak into adapting to life on the farm came when I was putting in drainage from the land to the canal across the road, someone had to get into the murky waters of the canal and I thought boy it ain't me getting in there,, until I saw the wife kicking off her crocs and getting ready to take the plunge,,, that really was all the encouragement I needed, now I'm like a duck in water,,, well unless I see a snake swimming close by, then I'm out before you can say boo,, Although I'm in a different area from most of you guys (central plains) it's great hearing all the life experiences and I'd love someday to get the opportunity to meet some of you guys, although I'm not so much of a drinker nowadays I'm extremely partial to sit and polish of a bottle of Glenlivet on the odd occasion,,, keep up the good work Dance

DerkMR
Adolf Hitler farm pussy. Did you know they actually have a website dedicated to those cats? http://www.catsthatlooklikehitler.com Some are so so, but some are really great - and I believe not photoshopped... ... now I'm like a duck in water,,, well unless I see a snake swimming close by, then I'm out before you can say boo,, Not everything moving like a snake is a snake. Today we started refilling our second pond after poisoning and due to this some dead fish came out of the mud. One of them was a swamp eel (Monopterus albus, Pla lai) and just 15 minutes later I found a living one which managed to stay in a part of the mud which got no poison and with the rising water distributing the rests of the poison he wanted to escape - the movements are exactly the same as a swimming snake! Bye, Derk

jonnyscot
Had to have a laugh to myself when I saw the photo of the flip flops,, I can most definitely relate to that,, in fact if I remember we touched on that subject on another thread,,, only difference to your photo is my footwear used to go all the way sole facing upwards as I wear the crossover only strap type,, I don't have anything in between my big toe to stop them going feet up in wet mud,,, Jonny
