skylar
Awesome. Isssan/Esarn/Isaan is the only region of Thailand I have never been to and after seeing those pictures I'm definitely going the next time I'm in Thailand.

Khutan
Mike, any chance you can give a location, maybe Google Earth of a GPS position ? Then I can go there myself.
buadhai
Muang Sema is pretty easy to find. Just take Route 2161 north off Highway 2 (Mittrapap) at the Sung Noen turn off. (You need to make a U-turn at the fly-over if you're coming from Korat.) There are many signs in the area directing you to the various Prasat and Wats that are of interest. However, we still got lost a few times and had to ask. Here's a Google Earth KMZ file showing the general vicinity. Note that you can make out the ancient city and the canals quite easily; even on the low resolution Google Earth photo: Sema.kmz
jts-khorat
thanks buadhai for the pictures; my girlfriend's village (and my future home,. who knows?) is just a few kms away from teh Phra Non Sema. Does anybody know if/when Google might update its satellite pics for Thailand?
