I'm returning to CM after being away for 6+ months and for the first time I'll be flying in on an international flight. Is there any specific procedure for a 'resident' returning? I have a Thai drivers licence and will be on a new passport and, initially, a 6 month tourist visa. If not Is it recommended or necessary to show the drivers licence at the time I present my passport?

You're not a resident if you are coming in on a Tourist Visa, you are a Tourist.

If you are coming as a Tourist (ie: with the intention of not living in Thailand) then you'd best appear to be exactly that.. A Tourist
