Lite Beer Posted December 15, 2012 Share Posted December 15, 2012 Cops dealt drugs from police pick-up: Chalerm Supachai Petchthewee The Nation BANGKOK: -- Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung and National Police chief General Adul Saengsingkaew held a press conference on Saturday to announce the arrest of police officers in Nan province accused of dealing methamphetamine after being caught with 1 million yaba tablets in a police pick-up truck. "It's a source of pain and shame for all police officers that some police sell drugs themselves. They even used a vehicle with a police shield logo to sell the drugs," Chalerm said. "But I'm glad that they have been arrested." The gang was involved in transporting the drug from the northern province for sale in Bangkok, a drug-suppression police officer said at the press conference. The Thai police are nothing more than mafia masquerading as police with a concession granted by the government. The level of hatred towards the Thai police by Thai people is astonishing, a result of a lifetime of the police stealing money from them. But I have to say, the video of Charlerm thundering away in dismay at the concept of police dealing drugs adds a nice farcical touch. Made all the more funny by that fact that any illegal dealings performed by the police create money, which of course is properly funneled up the chain of command. I will say again. They are not the enforcers of the law. They are the abusers of the law. They are a criminal entity and act accordingly. Chalerm benefitted from this for years and now is embarrassed by the lofty and undeserved position he occupies. the bellowing rhetoric is for public consumption and will be little compared with the behind doors demands to put someone in charge of the drug dealing who can guarantee its low profile existence. There are billions being made from the drug trade with Burma and it is not going to cease as long as Thais have pockets too deep to fill. We should run a 'where are they now' as regards the Chalerm scum sons. I expect they are snouts in the trough of dad's wake turning ll those contacts into hard cash. This is actually a 'non' story as Chalerm told us long ago 'there are no drugs' in Thailand. My wife picks herbs and makes a paste when I have a headache. You use them for weighing. First you weigh the total quantity of pills. Then you weigh one individual pill. Then comes the tough part. You divide the larger weight by the smaller weight. The answer is... wait for it... the total number of pills. No, it's not magic; it's called mathematics. I know this because I've just been teaching my Grade 4 class about it.
