ChiangMike
Hi, have been in Bangkok for two months on a non-immigrant ED Visa (lucked into a good contract job 5 years ago and saved enough to last a few years here if I'm not a total idiot). Don't think it's Utopia, but I do really like the culture and the country and am grateful for the opportunity. I think doing volunteer work could accelerate learning the language along with being an investment in something worthwhile. Hopefully anyway. Will be bouncing back and forth forth between Bangkok and Chiang Mai spending several months in each at a time. Long story short - any recommendations from experience or firsthand knowledge? Tried to sort it out through net searches but thought it could be a good thing to put the question here. Thanks.
