Im bringing a bike to Thailand and want to convert it to electric. Im interested in electric kits by goldenmotor.com preferably but also open to other suggestions.

Basically you cant take large lithium batteries on planes so ill need to buy at least the battery in Thailand. I could get a high powered battery and keep it in Thailand and when in Australia buy a compatible but smaller, road legal battery. I was looking at the goldenmotor kits because i think you can just swap over to the higher voltage battery and reprogram it when needed. This keeping road legal in Australia and give more power in Thailand.

Im not going to buy a ready made electric bike as im attached to my mountain bike (montague paratrooper)

I imagine theres a lot of really duff/dangerous/cheap batteries and stuff available in Thailand so i need to get something decent. Lithium batteries are dangerous and i dont want to sit on something explosive

Id need the LiFEpo4 batteries really
