Nongprue Police plan safety measures for New Year in Eastern Pattaya

PATTAYA:--It is inevitable that many hundreds, if not thousands of people will die over the New Year period around Thailand. A combination of excessive consumption of alcohol and dangerous driving causing road accidents will see the death toll on Thailand’s roads soar over the 7 “deadly” days of the New Year period.

Local Police Stations will do their best to maintain safety on the roads and safety for the thousands of Thai and foreign Tourists who will visit Pattaya to celebrate the New Year. As we speak, planning meetings and sub-meetings are underway to ensure that Police work to the best of their abilities during this time of the year.

We attended a New Year Planning meeting held by Police Colonel Somnook who recently moved to become Superintendent of the newly upgraded Nongprue Police Station which covers most of the Eastern Side of Pattaya.
