Diamond Ring - Propose

Featured Replies

Hello. I want to buy a diamong engagment ring for my girlfriend. Dont worry, been here 10 years and I am no idiot. She is the girl for me. Im looking at spending around 50K Baht. I live in Hua Hin and im not sure of the quality around here. Im guessing there is an area of BKK that speacialises in this and will suppy quality?

Bought one for my wife 6 years ago.

First question her best friend had was "how many baht gold is it?" sad.png

Yep, gold is the thing smile.png here. Lots of fake diamond stuff about and folk know it.

OP, 50k is not much for a diamond of any worth here. sad.png

My pal deals in diamond stuff and he showed me a pair of ear rings for 180k. w00t.gif

Waste of money. Thais don't do the diamond engagement ring thing. When in Rome.........

Seriously, it won't be as much appreciated as some (crap looking) Thai Gold.

Thanks all. Its a moot point anyway as I am sober now and have no intention of proposing. Seemed like a great idea after 4 jugs of chang this afternoon.

Without beer inside me... I would rather donate a lung than propose.

Thanks anyway.

Ha ha..

You should have proposed so you could post all about backing out of it this morning

Would have been many entertainment

Buy her a zircon. She'll never know, unless she dumps you and tries to hock it.

Getting married anywhere in the world is like taking a ham sandwich home from a banquet.

<p>I bought a platinum band for the wife, she loves it.

At the wedding, some old crazy local...

Gold (no)? - Him

Thong si khao - Me

To be different I bought some diamond earings for my wife for her birthday one year. She said; "they are beautiful, why you not buy gold"! Oh well!

I think what you mean is cubic zirconia. This is cheap as chips, and has even more brilliancy than diamond.

Zircon is a gemstone which is often purchased as a less expensive substitute for diamond, but it still has value.

Zirconium is the chemical element.

Now YOU know!

Buy her gold. She will like it more.

Just take her to Pai in the smoky season, that should do it. In the rented campervan.
