Did anyone else see the 737 flying low over Maenam this morning at about 8am?

Looked like it was operating just above the stall and routing for Surat Thani. Maybe to perform an emergency landing.

Hopefully everything is Ok, I wouldn't operate that low in these weather conditions unless there was something wrong.

Thai (the schedule flight) usually comes in a bit later, the special insignia could come any time.....

His Highness the Crown Prince comes down to Samui flying a TG plane every now and again - to keep his hand in for his pilots license

I think Thai no longer has flights to Samui.

Yes - HHTCP does have his own plane - but he still practices now and again on TG - that's how TG got the slots to Samui in the first place.

Mind you - when the CP does fly in to Samui - they usually stop the traffic around the airport. At night - they make all of the stopped traffic switch off their lights - or they used to.

....only applies to cars/bikes that have their lights on in the first place:)
