i'll be back in thailand in the next weeks with the girlfriend, she wants to bring back one of them kids scooters (the push ones with the stand board) for a relative, airline are ok with it & cost is £50/£60 so not massive, its in a box about 1.5m tall so will stand out when we clear customs, i'm guessing we will get pulled over if we walk thru green? so do i just show them the receipt for the goods in that situation? or would they have their own costing guide?

cheers & apologises if thats a daft question

Take it out of the box and scoot past them so quickly that they don't see you.

Merry Xmas and a happy new year.

clever, maybe saying "meep meep" like the roadrunner as well for effect tongue.pngbiggrin.png

seriously though, is it likely to cause me bother?

IMHO, I doubt you'll have problems. But ya never know. This is Thailand and anything can happen. Taking it out of the box is a great idea. Or, take it out before you leave, remove all the documents, make it look used. At least you can plead if caught that it is used???

When I come in with electronics, I never leave the items in the original boxes.

Just a Thought.... When I am shopping at Zeer IT shopping center in Bangkok I see people scooting about everywhere on those things and I know that they sell them here in Thailand for a WHOLE lot less than £50/£60\
