Pattaya Countdown Festival 2013 begins

PATTAYA:--The Pattaya Countdown Festival 2013 has begun and signifies that the New Year is only a matter of days away.

On Tuesday Night the grand opening of the seven day event took place at the Bali Hai Port at the south-end of Pattaya Beach. Khun Sontaya, the new Minister for Culture declared the event open along with his younger Brother and Mayor of Pattaya, Khun Itipon.

Popular Thai Bands and Singers will be performing on a huge sound-stage erected at the port. Playground, Stamp, Titanium and Buddha Bless are just some of the big names appearing at the event. On the 31st December, Many of the biggest names in pop and rock music here in Thailand will be performing including a special performance by one of Thailand’s biggest bands, Big Ass. Many Thai superstars will also be in attendance.

All of which means that the same vendors, selling the same stuff, at the same locations, are already out in force, making transiting Beach Road a week and a half long nightmare
