Sitting in Savannakhet using Savan Vegas deal and have them assist with the visa handed in my papers this morning I were asked for the bank book and I said its not necessary and I did not bring it. Just got a call from the reception saying the consulate would need the bank book with 300K.

Is this a very new rule? In my past visas it were never necessary and I know someone who did not have to show his bank book when he did the trip on his own in early December.

This is the first report we have seen of that requirement although some asking by phone in the past were informed of some requirements that were not asked when they actually applied.

Not entirely true but correct with most

I did the same thing in late Nov, but when you actually read the Vegas website it does state a bank book is required as i found out when they checked my documents & had to photo copy it in the Casino

Had between 100 - 150 000 bht in it

Never heard of the 300 000 but i think it is all about having at least a reasonable amount of funding in it

At KL a few years back one of these tour ops told me 400,000 in the bank for non-O, but was told here it was 100,000, so l did the trip myself.

I did a run through savan Vegas 3 months ago for O marriage and they told me I to have bank book showing 30k in case it was asked for.

Was there last week. Not asked for any bank book.

But should have some funds to prove, if asked.

I think savan vegas likes to have everything "kosher".

I asked about it and they said 300K maybe mistaken the 30K seems more reasonable.

Things should work out for me anyways ;)
