Heard About Lee Aldhouse Today On A British Sports Radio Station...

I don't know if I'm allowed to name it on here but it was TalkSport radio this afternoon?

They said that he had been extradited facing trial and he could face the death penalty!I thought one of the conditions of the extradition treaty was that he would not be facing the death penalty, has that changed now?

I suspect it is just a case of lazy reporting but it would be quite a twist in the tale if the Thais decided they didn't want to have to pay for his stay in jail for the next 20-30 years and decided just to do away with him!

I'd just like to make it clear that I am actually originally from the same city,Birmingham,as Lee <SNIP> and would be quite happy to see him swinging from the end of a rope!

The disgraceful cowardice this lowlife showed,in hiding in wait to pre-meditatively murder a decorated war hero (purple heart I believe),in my opinion cannot be punished harshly enough,I just wondered if anyone else knew anymore about these new developments,if indeed they are that?

If the Death Penalty was an option, extradition would not take place.

Assurance have been given that lethal injection will not take place.

The murder charge carries a maximum penalty of death, although Thailand's Attorney-General's Office has already told London that Mr Aldhouse will not be executed by lethal injection. Instead, he faces a sentence of between 15 and 20 years.

The UK Government does not exradite any of its citizens to face the death penalty abroad.

The reporter is using the fact that murderers in Thailand can get the death penalty to spice up the story or they are making a mistake.

Aldhouse will bet a serious amount of bird and that will be all.

Mind you the life he will leading for the next decade or so will make him wish he was dead.

Let this sob enjoy his new room in the Bangkok Hilton. Good hotel very very late check out. Plenty of time to work on his anger management problem.

I assume no one bothered to read the words "facing trial", although said trial seems a bit of a waste of time and money, since the worthies of Thaivisa have already pronounced his guilt.

Can you PLEASE put a stop to your vile, sickening trolling. It's deeply offensive to those of us who know the facts. It's also deeply offensive to the friends and family of the deceased

Seriously, unless you are a part of Thailand's expat community AND KNOW THE FACTS, go away.

What a ridiculous outburst! Since when was adhering to the law trolling, or do you place yourself above the law, and appoint yourself as judge, jury and executioner?

As you have thrown a blanket accusation, pray tell, where I have pronounced guilt?

Fair point: you were, after all, making reference to given sources, as opposed to the more emotive, knee-jerk reactions of the lynch-mob.
