These flew over Chanthaburi in January

Aerial photography?

Can't clearly see the insignia on the underwing of the aircraft...

Possibly Royal Thai Police / Customs surveillance aircraft...

These are Dornier 228's. Back in production thumbsup.gif

They are horrible for passengers with screaming Garretts as power plants. The Thai Navy has 7 of them and Solar Air operate 2 of them in Thailand.

I am not sure what the nay does with them, how ever they have historically been a popular surveillance / Search machine. I am familure with a civilian one in another country that had a ra-dome on its belly for marine surveillance and search in a different shape but in the same position as these two. .

Here's one for you guys.See if you can guess this one ?

Difficult to see the landing gear but I would say a Dash 8
You can't see the landing gear because the engineer pulled the wrong handle when getting the aircraft ready. Can't remember exactly what happened but the landing gear decided to retract and the aircraft ended up on it's belly. That's why there's buses surrounding it.They were there to stop people taking photos.Oh and it's not a Dash wink.png

Ooops ")

Ok, not a Dash so I will have to go back to the ATR's and guess an ATR72. I stare at Dashes and ATRs all day. Besides the landing gear they look almost identical to me. If not a Dash or ATR I am stymied.

Looks like an A330.... Cebu Pacific?

Correct with A330 but its Gulf Air I believe

Sorry for the small delay ... had to confirm some information.

Indeed, it's an Airbus A330-243 ... SVB

And confirmation by a few here ... well done and to RabC ... as it is a Gulf Air.

Is it my turn to ask a question? Somebody mentioned part of this fellow's name here recently, but was incorrect.

What is it and who is it flying for?

attachicon.gifDSC_0064.JPG

Bombardier Q400 for Luxair, I am guessing from LCY.

Aye, weel. Ah huv it doon as a deHaviland Dash 8 but ah' think it's the same thing, ye ken.

Of course it's my local airport, LCY. This is the most exotic liveried aircraft going in and out of there.

Was wondering if I would get penalty points for the Bombardier...... Also from previous posts I know you like LCY, didn't realise it was your local though. I am travelling again next week so will see what I can do but it can be awkward from the terminal windows.

I think it might (?) be a Hong Kong Airlines A320-200 like this one.

Indeed, a Hong Kong Airlines Airbus A320-214

Lets link for a moment who will be the first to install these.

Some say Ryan air, I don't think so. If they are meant to make a profit and plss off customers, then the logical winner will be JetStar aka ScabStar.

Try for the ...

  • Airline
  • Make and Model

Not my photo but will nod in the right direction when spotted

Very distinctive external livery, so can't do even an obscure outside shot at the moment.
