hello.

My Student Visa expires on January the 9th, I already have all the papers for my 3 months extention.

Can I go to the inmigration Office tomorrow 28th to extend it? Or i have to wait until 2 or 3 days before it expires?

Thanks,

Javi

As far as I am aware you can extend it 7 days before or 7 days after the date

That is for 90 day reporting, and now you can do that even 15 days before.

Extensions of stay must be done at the last day you are allowed to stay at the latest and can be done up to 30 days in advance. For educational visas it is advisale to do it within the last wo weeks.

Just done my ED visa, it was due on the 25th and I did it on the 26th

The info I gave above was given to me by my school, personally I think it is better to do it as close to the date as possible to avoid any problems

If you do it after the date you are allowed to stay you are on overstay. A short overstay will normally not be a problem to extend, but will result in a 500 baht per day fine.

I did my 90 day extension 7 days in advance, plus 90 report - zero problems. I just did my 180 day extension 10 days in advance (actually 187 days,) plus 90 day report - zero problems. BTW - ED Visa, Canadian, I'm 64 and used Chiang Mai Immigration.
