For long time now I have renewed the 90 day notification thing by post. Posted via EMS, all the papers, self addresses envelope works fine. Normally back to me in 3-5 days.

I did this on 22 Dec and as yet the renewal slip has not arrived.

I checked out with The post track and Trace and it was accepted by CM immigration on 24th Dec

Well sorry , here is the question, If the returned slip is lost (the return self addressed envelope was not EMS) what to do? should I go up to CM (from Lampang) and show them the original EMS documents. I did keep a copy of the old 90 day slip.

Cheers, maybe some one else had this happen.

Please read these posts in the CM forum regarding mail in to CM is no longer accepted.

//edit - sorry, just saw you sent from Lampang so I would thought that would be accepted but will probably need a trip to find out what happened before the report expiration date. Normally a copy of the notification receipt and EMS receipt is all that is needed but my guess is it is caught up in the piles of mail ins that are not being returned.

You could try calling immigration CM to see if they have mailed it yet.

I would wait a few more days before getting to excited about not getting it yet because of the recent holidays.

If it is lost you would probably have to go to immigration in person to get a new receipt.

Happened to me in Bkk, they said not to worry but it never turned up. You have to report it lost to the Police who fill out a form, they might ask 20 baht or so but you do not have to pay as a Thai does not. Even with the lost form it was not easy reporting the next time. I have never done it by post since

Hi again Well it seems CM immigration have given up with the post applications, too busy they say. So I must now drive up there with all new forms etc, and copy of the EMS delivery confirmation. What a pain. Too busy? well it would seem they are going to be a lot busier with all these post applications now arriving in person

Cheers

Hi just an end post to this topic. I did the run to CM yesterday and they found my 90 day slip. Still not sure if they will do it by post next time, maybe ill just go.

Just another thing CM immigration yesterday was just madness. As we drove along to Immigration there were 100's of motor bikes blocking the entrance, and all the walk ways. I would say there were over 700 Burmese people trying for a visa. It looks like a permanent feature tents, out side office etc..

A warning to anyone concerning PHOTO COPY. yesterday there were two machines working each had a had a cue about 10 meters long. People were waiting hours to get copy,it looked grim. So guys do make sure you have all the copy you need at CM immigration

Good luck
