Shipping Items Back To The Uk...

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Does anyone know a good (and reputable) international shipper on Samui?

I lived on Samui for a few years and came back to UK last year to give birth to my daughter. Mine and my partners belongings were all booked in to be shipped back to the UK by a firm on the Chaweng ring road called Jim Travel - all good, paid and booked in - owner seemed very good, spoke good English, very helpful, seemed trustworthy etc etc etc blah blah blah... long story short... we paid the money, the company went "bust" the goods were never shipped and we lost our money (suddenly the owner didn't speak very good English anymore - you know the drill!!). We were very lucky to have mates still on Samui who collected our boxes for us from the office and kept them for us.. very lucky!

Anyway this was summer last year and we now we have all the business of birth and a new born baby out the way we need to get shipping sorted again! Please if anyone used or knows a mate who used someone TRUSTWORTHY then please can you give me details? Its not even a large amount of stuff - 3 small boxes and a big bag. Just don't want our fingers burnt again

cheers in advance

Info on the HK - Samui thread.

More of a rant here....

I still ship lots of goods around the world even though I have retired. Last year maybe 300 from various places around the world and have had zero problem anywhere.

So, with the information on the HK thread I'll make you an offer. I'll do it for 5000 Baht plus shipping or you can do it via a friend with the information I have given for nothing plus shipping.

Why not use DHL or the Post Office EMS services, both very reliable for international deliveries but the latter being quite inexpensive.

Plenty of shipping companies in BKK, Just Google them although you would need to ship them up there but would probably still work out a lot cheaper than sending by EMS or DHL
