KTB plans to issue Hybrid Bonds in an amount of 200 million baht for foreign investors

Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited is preparing to issue Hybrid Bonds in an amount of 200 million baht for foreign investors. He informed that the revenue, which is gained from the distribution, will be brought to expand the bank’s credit services.

The Managing Director of Krung Thai Bank, Mr. Apisuk Tantiworawong (อภิศักดิ์ ตันติวรวงศ์), said that the bank will issue Hybrid bonds within March and April. He said that the bank is now selecting a financial consulting company, and six foreign financial institutions have shown interest so far. Following the selection, the bank will send the subject to The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for reconsideration.

He added that the Krung Thai Bank is considering a contract from the Bank of Thailand (BOT) through the tendency of readjusting interest rates, which are projected to raise the credit interest.
