we have a few weeks r+r soon, and are heading to Pattaya.

We hear that Jomtien might be where we would enjoy ourselves best..

so, any ideas on resorts or hotels with a large pool / bar / entertainment area, close to the beach and nightlife ?

budget is about $50 to $100 a night.

Cheers.

Depends on what exactly you are looking for. Your nightlife choices, if that is what you are looking for are much better in Pattaya proper itself. As for beaches, both Jomtien and Pattaya beaches are really not that nice. If you want clear water you need to take a day trip to one of the nearby islands.

50-100 a night, if that includes hotel is a bit on the low side if you really want to hit it hard.

Check out Silver Sand Villa.

It’s at the lower end of your budget, about 1500 Baht per night, including breakfast.

They have two larger pools and are located on the beach road, so very close to the beach.

Within walking distance of the Rompho Beer Bar Complex on 2nd road and the Jomtien Complex.

If you decide to stay there, ask for rooms in the newer complex, they are not “new” any longer, but preferable to the old wing.

you need to give more info on what you want to spend the $50-$100 a night on, as in booze birds etc, or is that hotel only. fro 2 lads out for a good time and you are both straight i would stay in Pattaya, more options and a decent transport system to get around. Jontiemski is very much now a Russian family resort and i find the night life a bit boring. But thats just my opinion.

The nice thing about Jomtien is that whilst it is fairly quiet and doesnt have much in the way of loud bars or discos it is only a 10B bus ride from Pattaya, which has as many of those as anyone could want (or not want).

For restaurants Jomtien has a reasonable selection of various types, and many hundreds more are the same 10B bus ride away.

Jomtien is indeed full of Russians, but where isnt these days?

Can’t understand all the questions/comments about what they want to spend their moneys on, and that more information is required.

The title says “Couple Of Cashed Up Lads Out For A Good Time..”

And in the post the OP asks for resorts or hotels in the $50-100 range, with a few requirements.

Why not give him some recommendations instead of a hard time. wink.png
