Multiple Entry Business Visa - Anyone Gotten One Lately?

Featured Replies

Has anyone gotten this visa recently? I've read that its getting very difficult to get one nowadays.

This is for the purpose of running my own export business in from Thailand (ie exporting Thai goods over seas, the business is overseas, but I need to be in thailand to purchase products, and I live here...)

Would be very grateful to hear your stories.

- Where did u get it?

- How long did it take?

- What documentation was required etc...

- Clarify the invitation letter business? Can I write my own letter explaining my intentions?

Thanks

SM

"and I live here..."

That can be the problem. You are exporting, so your business is here, but without company and or work permit.

But that aside:

You should get it in the country, where your ex-, eh, import business is located.

" Can I write my own letter explaining my intentions?"

Sure. The letter from your company, that you need to travel on business reasons to Thailand, to look for business partners, can be signed by you.

Mostly, outside Asia, it's done in one stop.

in many cases, the letter from your company is all you need. Check with the consulate.

One remark:

Honorary consulate is the 'easiest' target. In a western country, best in your home country.

my last multiple-B I got in March 2012 at a consular office at my home-country.

nothing easier than that. as I have a business registered with a valid VAT-number in my home-country, I just had to write a short letter that I have to travel to TH a lot and need that kind of Visa.

signed the letter by myself and for myself.

after handing over the 130 €, it took less than 5 minutes and out I was with a fresh stamp in my passport

Bingo. This is the information I was looking for.

A friend of mine explained this process to me a few months ago and it seemed much too easy, exactly as you described above.

I see now that the difference is applying in your home country, as opposed to leaving Thailand and applying in another country in the region.

My research says its pretty easy to do this in Australia and Canada. May I ask which country your business was registered?

Also did you need to set up a work permit for yourself in Thailand?

Thanks

Or you simple learn Thai, get yourself a Non Imm ED Visa, with extension and, if needed, (multiple) re-entry visas.

And do you business under the table, like you did it before.

The Non Imm B, you are getting with a letter of your company, stating that you need to visit Thailand, to look for business partners, for your company in a foreign country will not be issued, to get you a work permit. It's mainly issued for people, traveling a lot to Thailand.

That's why I said, living in Thailand , or: not have very many in- an out-stamps in your passport, but long stays recorded, can be ca problem. Every 90 days a visarun, on a non B, may create questions.

Nevertheless you can apply for a wp, with a multiple Imm B, issued for the mentioned reasons, too.

But: you need a Thai Company, for this process. And you/the Company need to pay taxes, social, hire people, ....!

Learn Thai! Easy doing, you don't need to fly to Europe or Australia for the ED Visa. The School will get you all you need. For 20-30k, with the 'option', to learn Thai, too.
