Me & the wife just got in from work and waiting for us on the mat was a letter from the UKBA saying my wife's Citizenship Application was successful

The application was submitted at Rotherham NCS on the 23rd of November, the letter is dated 31st December.

So thats around 5 week to the approval, and around 7 week to receive the letter, which I am really happy about as I thought it would be at least another month.

She will be on the phone to Rotherham MBC to arrange her ceremony at 9am prompt tomorrow.

I would like to thank everyone for the advice/help I have received from the forum members!

Congratulations to you both!

My wife's Citizenship Application, has just gone in,on the second of January.

It would be nice to get it back,in the same time as yours.

Congratulations!

My wife and daughter are at this final 'hurdle'. We have just received the receipt for £1400 from the UKBA on a grubby bit of unbelievably cheap paper reminiscent of the old IZAL toilet paper so beloved by schools and public conveniences.

There was also an advice sheet on the same paper, clearly photocopied to death, at all angles.

Very unprofessional and a bit of a disgrace for a government agency.

It will be wonderful to wave good-bye to the UKBA, I cannot wait!

Yep! they dont believe in throwing money around,i've just had to enclose in my wifes application a Pre Paid Recorded Jiffy bag,to get Passports and Documents returned safely, otherwise they stated they would only return by 2nd Class Postage,at her risk.

You're not likely to either.

Thanks for the encouragement.
