January 14, 201313 yr Hi everyone, I'm working in Laem Chabang since 6 months, I'm 33 years old and start to face a deep lonelyness. I have been quite busy with work so far but I feel it's time to have a personal life. I would like to get a friend circle but all my Thai colleagues go back to their hometown during the week-end and anyway I still don't speak thai so even the seldom times we hang out, they are speaking thai and I don't get a word of the conversation. I would like to meet some other Farang but I don't see any others Farang in my area, so I'm willing to get some trip to Pattaya but don't know how to make friends... If anyone could share with me their way to make friends here I would really appreciate. Sorry for my very average English, I hope it's understandable, I'm working on this as well.
January 14, 201313 yr The best way is to join some sort of club! Yes, and to be more specific if you play sport, join a sports team, football for example. Even if you don't play well, if the main point is to meet people then your performances on the pitch are less important. Networking evenings are another good way to meet people, and there are a few that go on in Pattaya. Although they're often more business-focussed, you may find them a good outlet to making friends, although you'll probably have to engage in some work related chat beforehand. Also isn't there a Thaivisa party in Pattaya some time soon? Or has it happened already?
January 14, 201313 yr Hey ! Sent you a friend request Sports is great meeting people. how about meeting up for go shooting some BB gun / Airsoft. I would like to meet other english speaking expats to have some fun as well. there is a thread running on here, search for Airsoft. cheers,
January 14, 201313 yr Author woow very nice answers, thanks for those good advices. I practiced muay thai 14 years, I stopped 3 years ago, maybe I should start again. BB gun would be very nice too, I'm going to check that and take your friend request. Actually I'm working a lot, around 80 hours per week and working Saturday and Sunday during this last 6 months, but I need to get a life so I will slow down on overtimes and enjoy life.
