Street Refuse Collector killed in hit-and-run road crash in Pattaya outskirts

PATTAYA:--A street refuse collector was killed following a hit-and-run road crash in the southern outskirts of Pattaya just after 10.30 pm on Monday Night.

Police and rescue services were called to the scene of the crash on the Sukhumvit Road close to the Pattaya Floating Market which caused the immediate death of the man, thought to be a Thai National, who was carrying no forms of identification.

He was known by locals who saw him every day collecting refuse and the crash was witnessed by Khun Ganjana aged 32 who was walking into a nearby 7-Eleven Convenience Store when she heard and then saw the crash involving a pick-up.
