Popular Post samuijimmy
Sure a huge difference what can be grown in the north, than down here in the south! ASTX ^ My Grosse Lesse (spelling? too lazy to go find the packet) toms are blooming, but perhaps with rain season coming, timing might be off

Let's move on to Poinsettias in Chiang Mai... another plant that does not do well down here in the Tropics!
Popular Post TP1
Ok....not many of you are interested in weeds (they can be as beautiful as flowers), so I will give you flowers. And just an introduction to weeds.
Popular Post nidieunimaitre
Did somebody mention weeds? We imported some exotic weed... The bugs loved it, so I could never do the " she loves me, she does not love me" thing.

Yes.... dandelion root, dandelion salad,... When we are in Europe, my wife always eats lots of weeds or flower roots etc (on the advise of Thai friends here). When I google those plants, I always find that Europeans ate them too - a long time ago. We have forgotten them now. Currently my wife is into FIGS, tomorrow we fly back home to Chanthaburi with kilos of fig cuttings from Madeira - and fig leaves make an excellent tea as well! Crazy: learning about Europe from a Thai!

Popular Post Chonburiram
^Under better conditions, the flower should look like this: After the war, we made some nice "honey" from them... villagefarang
My wife thinks it is called Dok Fai Muang Loei but I am not sure. I just walk past it on the corner of a soi each day and noticed how it changes color during the day depending on how much sunlight it gets. It is quite a tall plant and seems to grow without any care.

Popular Post JetsetBkk
These pictures were taken in November 2004. I still have the flowers, in the same pots, but they are nowhere near as bushy as they once were. My landlord says that I shouldn't water them too often as they don't produce so many flowers when well-watered.
